What's Inside

For each of the 50+ herbs (and counting), you get:

The herbs scientific name. Common names are dangerously imprecise — "ginseng" alone could mean Korean, American, or Siberian ginseng, three different plants with three different effects — so knowing the scientific name (like Panax ginseng) is the only way to guarantee the herb on the label is the one you actually want.

What portion to use. Choosing the correct part of the herb (leaf, root, stem, berry, etc.) is key to get the bioactive compounds and effects you want.

The form that matters. Powder, extract, tincture, whole herb — for many herbs, the wrong form means you're paying for something your body can't utilize. I tell you which form the evidence supports and why.

My vetted sources. The specific suppliers I trust for that herb, chosen from three decades of research, client results, and my own testing — including small farms and wildcrafters you won't find on the first page of Google.

Why No Affiliate Links Changes Everything

Nearly every sourcing recommendation you've ever read online was shaped by a commission. Not necessarily dishonest — but when the writer earns 20% on Brand A and nothing on Brand B, guess which one tops the list.

I've structured this guide so that's impossible: no affiliate relationships, no sponsorships, no free product. Companies can't pay to be in it, and more importantly, they can't pay to stay in it — when a source's quality slips, they come out in the next update.

You're buying the one thing the herbal industry can't manufacture: an uncompromised practitioner opinion.

Meet The Herbalist

My name is Tristan and my holistic herbalism training began in 1995 when I was 15 through the expert guidance of my Grandmother who was a master herbalist.

She and other great teachers taught me what to look for in top quality herbs, the main bioactive compounds in herbs, and what form to consume the herb in to make sure those compounds are present.

This Guide is a distillation of their wisdom, my own research and experimentation over the last 31 years, and coaching.
